On Apr.26, Quality Brands Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (QBPC) Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices IWG held a lunch meeting at Beijing Sheraton Hotel. 26 representatives of IWG members attended the event. At the IWG’s invitation, Li Baozhong, Deputy Chief Captain of the Food, Drug and Environment Crime Investigation Department of the Heilongjiang Provincial Public Security Bureau (PSB), and Xu Haifeng, Captain of the Environmental Food and Drug Protection Division of Tianjin PSB, participated in relevant discussion on law enforcement.
Lance Lu, Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices IWG Coordinator, firstly recalled several seminars and exchanges activities with law enforcement agencies in the first quarter, reviewed the IWG expenditure, and encouraged active participation by member representatives in the future. Representatives of member companies made suggestions on activities of the second and third quarters, followed by constructive discussion.
Subsequently, in view of the characteristics and trends of the illegal and criminal activities in the field of drugs and medical devices in recent years, Deputy Chief Li Baozhong and Captain Xu Haifeng made a professional analysis and in-depth summary, emphasized the necessity and importance of joint action of inter-provincial public security law enforcement forces in investigating and handling specific cases.
Finally, the two officers highly affirmed the active cooperation of the QBPC P&MD IWG in cracking down on illegal and criminal activities. They also expected QBPC member representatives to provide more case leads to the PSB of the two provinces.
