On May 30, the Quality Brands Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (QBPC) Patent and Innovation Committee (PIC) held a seminar on Standard Essential Patent (SEP) Licensing and Internet of Things (IoT) in Shanghai. Roger TU, Vice President of Avanci, shared his thoughts with more than 20 QBPC members.
Roger presented on the concept and origins of SEP, the importance and development stages of SEP licensing, including bilateral license negotiation, patent pool, patent joint licensing platforms, and so on. In particular, he provided a detailed introduction on the latest licensing practices of 4G and 5G patent technology in intelligent automobiles on international mainstream patent licensing platforms.
