On October 30, the 2024 China-U.S. Cooperation and Exchange Seminar on Administration Enforcement Against Online Sales of IPR-infringing Goods, co-hosted by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), was held in Hangzhou. QBPC Chair Michael DING was invited to moderate a panel discussion on Deepening Cooperation Between E-commerce Platforms and Rights Holders to Combat Cross-Border Counterfeits.
Representatives from SAMR, USPTO, relevant Chinese and U.S. law enforcement and regulatory authorities, industry organizations, right holders, and e-commerce platforms engaged in in-depth exchanges on the work of IP administration and enforcement in the field of e-commerce. They shared the latest progresses, viewpoints, and experiences while jointly exploring solutions to the problems and challenges in order to enhance the understanding among all parties, promote information and resource sharing, and collaborate to enhance administration enforcement against online sales of IPR-infringing goods and strengthen the IP protection in the field of e-commerce.
