Meetings on QBPC Industry Working Groups Work Plan

On March 3 and 4, QBPC Vice Chair John Groves hosted three online meetings to discuss with Industry Working Group (IWG) coordinators about their concerned IP issues, such as cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, online brand protection and second-hand refurbishment, etc. Artificial Intelligence and Digital IWG Coordinator Yang Tao, Automotive IWG Coordinator Alex Theil, Automation & Electric IWG Coordinator David Yang, Chemical IWG Coordinator Penny Sun, Food Beverage & Alcohol IWG Coordinator Louisa Xu, Lighting IWG Coordinator Bob Zhang, Luxury Goods IWG Coordinator Miller Wang, Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices IWG Coordinator Ying Ji, Sports, Fashion & Life Style IWG Coordinator Julie Yu, Toys & Licensed Goods IWG Coordinator Emo Dong and Wireless & Integrated Circuit IWG Coordinator Kelvin Liu attended the meetings. 

 

 

 

At the meeting, QBPC Chair Michael Ding, Best Practices/Enforcement Committee Chair Conan Chen, Government Affairs and Public Policy Committee Chair Yang Tao, Internet Sale of Infringing Goods and Internet Copyright Protection Taskforce Coordinator Cecilia Dou, Patent and Innovation Committee Vice Chair Frank Liu shared their views and experience on the work plan. The meetings deepened the discussion about 2021 IWG work plan and laid the foundation for implementation and development of IWG projects and activities. Moreover more opportunities have been brought for IWGs to strengthen coordination with the committees and taskforces in the future.
