QBPC Signs MOU with Forest Public Security Bureau of Jiangxi

On October 18, Quality Brands Protection Committee (QBPC) of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI) and Forest Public Security Bureau of Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Department (Jiangxi Forest PSB) co-held the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony in Nanchang, Jiangxi. 

QBPC Best Practices/Enforcement Committee Chair Peter Yang hosted the Ceremony. CAEFI Vice President and QBPC Chair Michael Ding, and Director-General of Jiangxi Forest PSB Cheng Haiteng presented opening remarks.

Subsequently, the two parties signed the MOU on Criminal Protection of Intellectual Property Right to further strengthen communication and cooperation, to increase joint efforts on combating and preventing IPR crimes, and to establish a long-term mechanism for IPR protection.

    
Both parties would strengthen communication and cooperation on sharing new trends and developments in intellectual property infringement crimes, studying intellectual property protection laws, policies, and law enforcement progresses, identifying loopholes and proposing suggestions on IPR crime-related risk management of enterprises as well as updating intellectual property development status and related industry trends both in China and abroad.

 

Xiao Feijie, Party Committee Member and Deputy Director-General of Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Department, and Cao Hongying, Executive Vice President of CAEFI, together with nearly 130 representatives from Supreme People's Court (SPC), foreign embassies and consulates, trade associations and QBPC member companies witnessed the ceremony.
