Exchange Meeting between QBPC and Macao Customs

On February 19, Quality Brands Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (QBPC) had an intellectual property exchange meeting with Macao Customs to  discuss intellectual property protection efforts.


The meeting was presided over by Li Siya, Director-General of the Intellectual Property Department of Macao Customs. Jiang Huiyi, Director of the Technology and Litigation Division, Tan Bicui, Customs Supervisor of the Intellectual Property Department, Ou Deren, Customs Inspector of the Intellectual Property Investigation Division, as well as Alice Li, the Chair in charge of the Customs affairs of QBPC, Vice Chair Du Jianzhu and Wendy Lin attended.

 

 


Representatives from Macao Customs firstly introduced the law enforcement work in intellectual property protection, including the organizational structure of Macao Customs and law enforcement functions of the Intellectual Property Department. They also briefed on relevant intellectual property laws and regulations, procedures for handling intellectual property cases, public legal awareness campaigns, community anti-counterfeiting liaison mechanism, as well as the school outreach programs. Additionally, Macao Customs shared recent intellectual property protection cases.


The representatives of QBPC provided an overview of the organization of QBPC, relevant work and achievements. Then, they shared concerns raised by members and expressed the need to enhance exchange activities.


Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on future cooperation, reaching a preliminary agreement to actively carry out exchange and training activities together. They also hoped to expand cross-border cooperation in intellectual property protection through exchanges, and jointly strengthen the intellectual property protection.
