QBPC Attends the 17th International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference

On September 23-25, 2024 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference was held in Willemstad, Curaçao. This 17th edition was co-hosted by INTERPOL, the Government of Curaçao, and its partner, the Curinde Free Trade Zone, in partnership with UL Standards & Engagement, and delivered by IIPCIC-international Intellectual Property Crime Investigators College.

 

The theme for 2024 was "Reducing the Harm”. QBPC attended the event as silver sponsor. More than 400 people including law enforcement officials, security and industry experts from 100 countries participated in the conference. 


QBPC Chair Michael Ding (ABB) spoke at the panel session of " Converting Capacity Building into Operational Impact and Success ", Michael Ding stated that capacity building was equally essential for both enforcement agencies and brand owners in their endeavor to achieve more efficient operation and successful action against counterfeits. He also introduced QBPC efforts in capability building and converting as well as expecting for more global communication and collaboration between QBPC and stakeholders.

 

During the conference, Michael Ding and William Mansfield (QBPC Vice Chair from ABRO) interacted with the representatives from the headquarters of QBPC member companies including Schneider Electric, Beiersdorf, Colgate-Palmolive Company, Levis, Danfoss, Underwriters Laboratories, etc. Meanwhile, Michael Ding had an in-deep discussion with INTERPOL on further collaboration direction and opportunities.
